ChatGPT Connects to the Internet and Leaps Beyond September 2021: New Browsing Feature

Microsoft Bing and OpenAI's ChatGPT are coming for Google Search. The popular chatbot is now connected to the internet and leaps beyond its September 2021 barrier.

The Big News

Here it is, the big news we knew was coming. Remember how ChatGPT knows nothing after September 2021? Well, not anymore. Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI just posted this on X:

That's huge news! Why? Well because this is the beginning of a major disruption in Search. I've written a post about the future of search and Google SGE and how things will change, but this is the first time the search giant is up against some serious competition. It's coming from OpenAI this time, but behind the scenes, it's none other than Microsoft Bing.

💀
To top it off, this announcement comes exactly when Google is celebrating its 25 years of leading Search. Coincidence?
